All over the country there are memorials to men and women killed in the two World Wars. Chesham is no exception; our town memorial has over 260 names on it. Around 20 other men are not even commemorated on the Memorial. Who were these men? What schools did they attend? What interests did they have? What occupations did they take up? Did they play for a local football or cricket team? Many of them came from old Chesham families with interesting histories. However, they are largely forgotten except to their families.
I have started researching these men but have a long way to go. Can anyone put me in touch with descendants and relatives for information and photographs?
