St George’s Dragon

st george and the dragon

22 April 2017

How would you like to make a jointed, moving dragon?! You can cut out your dragon from our template and make it move with holes and paper fasteners. We have green paper plates so that you can make the body, wings, feet and head.

We’ll have coloured pencils and pens so that you can colour your dragon in and you can even make it have fire coming out of its mouth with tissue paper!

Information for parents or guardians

Our craft events take place on the 4th Saturday of the month – the same day as the produce market. Each session lasts between 10 and 15 minutes and children can turn up at any time between 10.30am-12.30pm.

During the months of March, April and May the activities take place at the museum and if the weather is good will happen outside.

Children don’t need to bring anything to the activities and they get to take home what they make during the event. Children usually like their parents to stay and we encourage them to do so.

While the activities are free, we do ask for a donation towards the museum.

There will be 2 or 3 museum volunteers there to help. All volunteers are DBS checked.
