Characters I recall are Mr Ottaway, who lived in King Street and was known to us boys as 'Jelly Belly'. Mr Hiddleston, also known to us as 'Specs'; he was at the time the Editor of the Bucks Examiner. Mr Clayton, better known as 'Long Dick', who worked for the Electric Light. A giant of a man was he, hence his nickname.
