A magical winged rabbit lands in front of you as you are exploring Chesham’s marketplace. The rabbit – called a Fuzzwackle – promises to teleport you anywhere in time! As you reach down and touch the rabbit’s fur, the stalls and people blur around you…

What does Chesham’s Market look like?
Are you in the past or the future? Who do you meet?
Take part in Chesham Museum’s Creative Competition!
There are three mediums you can enter:
Art: Draw the market..
There is no limit to the scope of your project… Entries could include:
• A drawing of a market place, with a paragraph explaining your thought process
‘ A graphic novel
• A picture. accompanied with a short story
Write: write a story about your experience of Chesham’s market… Entries could include:
- Short stories up to 2000 words
- Poems.
Build: Create the market…
Entries could include:
‘ A Lego market. Take a photograph or a video, with a paragraph explaining your thought process
• A Minecraft market. Take a photograph or a video, with a paragraph explaining your thought process Everyone welcome to join in…
Each participant will be judged by their chosen medium, and the following age categories,
• 7 years and under
• 8 – 12 years
• 13+ years
Bonus competition: What’s in a name?
Write an entry of up to 250 words explaining how the Fuzzwackle got its’ name!
All ages welcome!
Participants can enter multiple mediums, and all works will receive feedback.
The winners of each category will receive a cash prize of £10!
Entries open from 23rd July 2026 until 31st August 2026
Winners will be announced on the 20th September.
