Doll’s house
The donor of the doll’s house tells us:
“My father built this for my sister, Sylvia, in 1946. Toys in shops were few and far between at that time so dad decided to make this from odd scraps of wood and an orange box.”
“The simulated leaded light windows were ‘obtained’ from the Amersham Toy Works – whether they were purchased or smuggled I do not know! It is fitted with carpets and curtains and has moveable furniture.”
