South Asian Heritage month
The South Asian Heritage Trust seeks to elevate the prominence of British South Asian history and heritage in the UK through education, arts, culture, celebration and commemoration.
The aim of the month is to deepen people’s understanding of the rich and diverse contributions of South Asian communities to British society, promote intercultural dialogue, and foster greater social cohesion among communities.
This years theme is ‘Stories to Tell’ and we would love to hear from the South Asian Community of Chesham. We are particularly interested in stories from elders about how the partition of India affected their families. Or do you have a multi-generational photo to share with us? You can contact us using our online form.
We would love to hear from you. Keep an eye out over the next four weeks for some Chesham ‘Stories to tell’! Be sure to follow us on Instagram and on Facebook for updates.
