Val Biro, a local resident for many years, was an illustrator, artist, author of Gumdrop children's books and a conservationist. This walk shares his thoughts on a changing town.
From 1.15pm – 2pm, children aged 5 and up can book a spot to create their own magical story, just like Gumdrop – the beloved vintage car from Val Biro’s books!

Gumdrop is Val Biro’s vintage car and star of his children’s books. Gumdrop needs your help to find his missing spare parts and solve a word puzzle that will unlock a prize.
Join us for an interesting and informative walk of 1.5 - 2 hours visiting the locations shown on the 1760 Chesham Town Picture, finishing with a delicious cream tea in the garden of 30 Church Street.
