Chesham Museum announces two new information panels in the town

Chesham has long been known as the town of boots, brushes, beer and, more recently, bricks. Chesham Museum is pleased to reveal two new informational panels that reflect on the history of breweries in Chesham and the scores of public houses and beer shops that were once located in the town.

If you haven’t seen them yet, make your way to Market Square where they appear on the outside wall of Trekkers.

Chesham Museum would like to thank Chesham Town Council for funding the panels and to Alex, the owner of Trekkers who has kindly sponsored the boards, which are of course all about ‘the origins of brewing and pubs’!

Thanks also to Orbitpress for the design and print. Nigel Brand, Chesham Museum’s Development Officer, kindly stepped in to get the boards installed with the help of Tom Bailey, manager of Trekkers, ready for Mayor Roderick McCulloch to unveil them in time for Trekkers reopening on the 4th July.
