Share some time to support the museum
We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the support and dedication of our volunteers. Volunteering is an excellent way to learn new skills and meet new people. You’re also benefiting the Chesham community by making sure everyone can enjoy the history of our great town.
What can I do?
We’re looking for people to help in a wide range of roles, including research and caring for our collection, supporting our learning programme or developing our social media offer. We need people to share the history of Chesham by leading guided walks, delivering sessions for schools or supporting reminiscence work. We’re also looking for people to help the smooth running of our organisation by becoming trustees, or supporting their work by taking minutes at meetings.
There are all sorts of ways you can get involved, our roles are flexible and we can develop an opportunity to suit your availability and the amount of time you can give.

Interact with visitors and share stories of Chesham’s people and places through our collection in our new museum space in Chesham Town Hall. Find out more and apply here.

We are looking for a creative and collaborative individual to join our team as a Co-Collections Manager. This is a shared voluntary role, with stipends potentially available subject to negotiation. You will work alongside two other Co-Collections Managers. You will lead in collections engagement.

You will work collaboratively with other Co-Collections Managers and the Visitor Services Manager to support museum projects and maintain the integrity of our stored collections.
